Welcome to the Christian Information Center (CIC)

Your essential gateway to Christian Jerusalem

Located at the historic Jaffa Gate, directly opposite the Tower of David, the Christian Information Center has been the premier resource for pilgrims, scholars, and residents since 1973. Sponsored by the Franciscan Custody of the Holy Land, we serve as the vital heartbeat of the Old City, dedicated to illuminating the rich tapestry of Christian life in the Holy Land.

In a city as profound and complex as Jerusalem, clarity is key. Our mission is to ensure that every visitor—whether here for a day or a lifetime—can navigate the spiritual, historical, and cultural depths of this region with ease.

Our Three-Fold Mission

We believe that information is the foundation of a meaningful pilgrimage. To support this, the CIC operates with a clear, three-pillar mandate:

Personalized Guidance: Providing expert advice and real-time information to pilgrims and locals, ensuring their time in the Holy Land is both safe and spiritually enriching.
A Global Resource Hub: Serving as the definitive news and research link for international media, scholars, and religious communities. We provide up-to-the-minute updates on scientific, cultural, and religious events across the region.
A Space for Dialogue: Offering a unique venue for ecumenical meetings, cultural exchanges, and religious gatherings, fostering unity and understanding within the heart of the Christian Quarter.
